Job Description
This is a leadership position that includes both managerial and marketing duties. The employee will be responsible for managing a Night Market, as well designing and implementing its growth. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a medium-to-large sized company, ideally in the food and beverage or hospitality industry. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in an upper management position with a company, and preferably have a degree in management or marketing.

- Lead and manage the following teams: sales, marketing, operations, maintenance, cleaners, security;
- Develop staff guidelines and policies;
- Organize staff meetings to ensure that staff are following company guidelines, policies, and schedules; manage schedules when staff are absent or sick; manage staff conflicts;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures regarding health and safety (e.g., fire, medical emergency), and in particular food safety (e.g., vendor guidelines to prevent food poisoning).
- Ensure that vendors are compliant with policies and procedures: sales, rental, cleaning, health and safety, maintenance, and security;
- Develop a sustainability program for the Night Market that targets waste management, recycling, reducing single-use plastics, energy, litter, and water management;
- Schedule and organize a diverse range of entertainment every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night; market these events on social media platforms, and through other mediums;
- Organize large themed-events 1-2 times per month (e.g., Water festival, Halloween, Christmas); decorate for these events; manage businesses involved in these events; seek out sponsorships for these events;
- Meet with customers and vendors to manage complaints and feedback;
- Prepare weekly progress reports to the owner;
- Coordinate with Management and other tenants within the property to ensure smooth operations;
- Manage the operations budget.
- Seek out the best vendors and restaurants to join our market;
- Set up in-person meetings with vendors and restaurants to sell vendor booths;
- Create marketing materials to attract vendors;
- Ensure that the market has a diverse range of F&B, retail, and entertainment vendors so that the market stays interesting;
- Seek out sponsorships and partnerships with other companies (e.g., Nham24, Grab);
- Build and regularly update social media platforms; market our events on social media platforms; meet with local media to promote the Night Market; research and present other marketing strategies;
- Establish and maintain paying sponsors and advertisers;
- Manage the marketing budget.
